Children of the Corn
Somewhere in the Midwest, amongst an endless sea of corn fields, you pass by a roadside fair. The high pitched laughter of children abounds. It looks like the locals are celebrating a bountiful corn harvest. Undoubtedly the fruits of their labor, the sweet smell of old-fashioned kettle corn wafting through the air is too good to pass up. In fact, everything around here appears to be old-fashioned. And you haven’t seen a single adult around. You feel like you are being watched and yet you are alone. Alone amongst the perfectly neat whispering rows of corn. Maybe you should have stayed home.
Buttery popcorn caramelized with brown sugar and maple syrup, and lightly salted. A delicious blessing passed by He Who Walks Behind The Rows.
